Kaleidoscope contributes research to Unbarrier Me’s inclusive mainstream guide

Kaleidoscope is pleased to contribute as a research partner to Unbarrier Me’s inclusive mainstream guide.

Our contribution draws on the Autumn 2026 Inclusion Index, bringing evidence from student, staff and parent and carer experiences into the conversation about inclusive education.

At Kaleidoscope, we describe inclusion as the system and belonging as the experience. Understanding both means listening across the school community and exploring the differences that whole-school averages can conceal.

The Inclusion Index helps leaders consider whose experiences are reflected in their decisions, where barriers remain and what is already working well.

We welcome opportunities to bring this evidence into practical conversations about how schools, trusts and local authorities can develop more inclusive systems.
